Communities can advocate for domestic violence awareness by creating safe,
informed, and supportive environments where survivors are believed and supported. This includes hosting awareness events, walks, and educational workshops that teach the signs of abuse and how to respond safely. Partnering with local organizations, faith-based groups, schools, and law enforcement helps strengthen prevention efforts and expand access to resources. Communities can also amplify survivor voices, promote available hotlines and shelters, and speak out against stigma and victim-blaming. When communities take collective action, they foster accountability, encourage early intervention, and help build a culture where violence is not tolerated
and healing is possible.
